Michael Scott

PE, Principal

Mike has nearly thirty-three years of experience as a civil engineer working in both the public and private sectors.  At LDC, Mike is responsible for the design of all utility and stormwater systems as well as project management and construction observation.  The variety and breadth of Mike’s work includes highway design for a state department of transportation and engineering of stormwater and utility systems for numerous single- and multi-family residential developments, commercial and industrial facilities, and institutional clients.  Over the last twenty years, Mike has designed and permitted dozens of stormwater, sewer, and water systems throughout Massachusetts for both public and private clients.  His ability to mesh a client’s interests and the permitting authorities’ requirements shortens the design and permitting process, and Mike’s attention to detail ensures the quality clients’ expect and deserve.

When not at LDC, Mike enjoys time with wife and three kids, cycling, golf, hiking and other outdoor activities.  Mike is also proud to have served on his local Conservation Commission for the past twelve years.

 

James Almonte

RLA, Principal

Jim has over twenty-nine years of diverse experience as a landscape architect, and serves as one of the Founding Principals at LDC.  He is responsible for overall project design, comprehensive project management, and multi-disciplinary project team coordination.  He has extensive experience in all phases of site design, from preliminary site and regulatory analyses through design development to comprehensive construction administration.  His projects range from single and multi-family residential subdivisions, mixed use developments, industrial facilities, office parks, hospitality centers, parks and recreational facilities to auto dealerships. Jim’s attention to detail and his ability to listen to the client’s needs and quickly respond with creative practical solutions are the biggest asset in achieving the client’s goals and visions while adding value to the finished product.

Away from the office Jim enjoys spending time with his family, golf, skiing and rooting on the New England sports teams.

 

Wayne Belec

Principal

Wayne possesses forty years of varied experience in civil site design, project management and business development, serving as one of the Founding Principals at LDC.  He is responsible for business development, project management and overall project design and oversight.  His extensive experience in all phases of site design and permitting including; single and multi-family residential subdivisions, commercial site plans, and MGL Chapter 40B projects allows him to quickly identify site or regulatory challenges, enabling his team to develop efficient, economically viable and aesthetically pleasing projects. His business development skills permit him to establish strong, trusting business relationships with our clients, developers, contractors, consultants and municipalities.  He is instrumental in the firm’s promotion by developing new business contacts with prospective clients and consultants, providing opportunities for LDC to expand its client base.

When out of the office, Wayne enjoys time with his family, grilling, travelling and all things Patriots.

 

Dominic

Receptionist

Dominic was educated at the School of Hard Knocks on the streets of Mississippi.  He graduated in the Fall of 2022 and joined the LDC family on Christmas 2022.  His job description includes greeting guests and employees with friendly hugs.  He enjoys a good game of fetch and loves playing with other dogs.

 

Enzo

In Memoriam (2008-2022)

Enzo had over fourteen years of experience and was highly skilled at napping and begging for treats. He was a beloved member of the LDC family and welcomed our guests and clients to the office.

In his time away from the office he enjoyed long hikes, rolling around in the snow and harassing his feline sister Bella.
